The change room troubles

Why should the students of St Michael’s Grammar School be forced to change their clothes in front of their lockers just because of the lack of facilities, even though the school fees are increasingly high? The school has change rooms but they are in locations inconveniently placed for the students. As a student myself I have experienced the amount of time being taken from my lunch times dedicated to walking to and from the change rooms. It is greatly important for the students to have a break from academic studies and depriving them of this will leave the students exhausted. They need their lunch times to eat their food so they can perform well during class, as this is what this magnificent school was made for. The students are going through a time in their lives when privacy is most needed and this has diminished their sense of self doubt and can lead to humiliation in the future. St Michael’s is an amazing school and the helpful leaders of the school should fix a small problem like this quickly. If we don't address these problems they will not be heard, the community at St Michaels is optimistic and are all for the students learning. It has let down the schools reputation and hopefully something can be done to lift back their reputation as being a flourishing k-12 school. But something can be done if we convince the school to create more change rooms in areas respectably close. To begin we can start a petition and get donations from people who agree with this campaign. Lets lift this school back onto its legs.

Comments:
Frank Walker: I agree, as I’m the father of a child at this school. My child is currently in the junior school and I fear him going into the senior school with these current problems.
Jane brown: I found out my daughter was changing in front of the lockers exposing herself in front of her peers. This is unacceptable and if I knew this was happening I would have reconsidered her application.
